Constellations
by Harrington o'Dynas
It was ever thus that some mortals (used in the sense inclusive of Keres and Ferros and even our fellow Yearlings) found themselves attracted to one particular constellation or other. Some use the custom of the star nearest the top of the sky at the time of their birth, others for different milestones in their lives. Sailors are often beloved of the stars that navigate them safely home, and fortune tellers are beloved of the stars their divinations lead them to. It's argued that being beloved of a constellation makes no real difference to a mortal's life, but those who study such things say that a mortal's personality traits are often influenced by the stars.
